We dreamed alone, a sadness roamed in our hearts and souls
But suddenly, there's a figure ascending:
Not a joker, not a thief, but a strange, curious appearance.
We razed, all hail the sacred trickster.
Forget all you thought you knew
Cast yourself in the current with me
One last dance before we fall
Forget all you thought you knew
Cause we ride to hell, watching a figure flouncing in the flames.
All notions fail, given in to the bitterness
It falls to pieces, dreams begot misery
All the hope that was promised misguided our hearts.
We razed, farewell you the sacred trickster.
Forget all you thought you knew
Cast yourself in the current with me
One last dance before we fall
Forget all you thought you knew
Cause we ride to hell, watching a figure flouncing in the flames.

An amazing album 👍🏻
It took me a while to get into Boss Keloid’s groove. I knew intellectually that it was my kinda music but I didn’t take to Melted On The Inch like I thought I would. I think listening to lots of modern jazz limbered me up! This is really complicated prog rock with heavy ass guitars added for street cred. I’m so happy that anyone might consider this band cool. They’re fucking cool to me but music like this has been vilified in the past. All hail the new Gentle Giant! Crinklechips
Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021
