We came from the coast the rivulets let our way
The shivers came from the fear in our tales
An empty court, a crested mare
Our dreams collide
A new-found hope, away we go
Soil in our hands
You can build a wall but you can't burn the bridges
Our days may cease but there's a fire that burns
On top of the world or within the abyss
Our deafening cries set the oceans ablaze.
The hate
The road is paved with dreams forlorn
Alas the night sees dreams reborn
A ceiling of frost, gnawing thoughts
The bitterness within
Alas the night, don't give in
To the bitterness
You can build a wall but you can't burn the bridges
Our days may cease but there's a fire that burns
On top of the world or within the abyss
Our deafening cries set the oceans ablaze.
The hate, the fear
You can build a wall but you can't burn the bridges
Our days may cease but there's a fire that burns
On top of the world or within the abyss
Our deafening cries set the oceans ablaze.
An amazing album 👍🏻
It took me a while to get into Boss Keloid’s groove. I knew intellectually that it was my kinda music but I didn’t take to Melted On The Inch like I thought I would. I think listening to lots of modern jazz limbered me up! This is really complicated prog rock with heavy ass guitars added for street cred. I’m so happy that anyone might consider this band cool. They’re fucking cool to me but music like this has been vilified in the past. All hail the new Gentle Giant! Crinklechips
Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021
