At dawn when the rage ceases
The embers of hate are dying down
You and me on a field of ruin
Gathering smoke beneath a low-hanging sky.
Bury me closer to the river
So my ashes find their way
Into a realm unbound by causes
Innocent of misery.
Bury me.
All we knew is the fight between the houses of yearning
Clinging to visions deeply enforced
Know the light hope unravelled before us
And lifted from our hearts ...
All we can do ...
Bury me closer to the river
So my ashes find their way
Into a realm unbound by causes
Innocent of misery.
Bury me.
There's a storm that wrecks the sea
Under a sun that burns the land
All our heroes long forgotten
Illusions of peace dismember our hearts.

An amazing album 👍🏻
It took me a while to get into Boss Keloid’s groove. I knew intellectually that it was my kinda music but I didn’t take to Melted On The Inch like I thought I would. I think listening to lots of modern jazz limbered me up! This is really complicated prog rock with heavy ass guitars added for street cred. I’m so happy that anyone might consider this band cool. They’re fucking cool to me but music like this has been vilified in the past. All hail the new Gentle Giant! Crinklechips
Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021
